jojo muller is a visual storyteller whose work explores the relationship between human presence, material, and landscape. Moving between painting, sculpture, installation, and bookmaking, her choice of medium follows the idea — each material and technique serving as a tool to translate atmosphere, memory, and spatial experience into form.

Her practice is driven by curiosity and close observation, moving between the scale of landscapes and microscopic structures. Like a scientist and a child digging in the ground at the same time, she studies surfaces, materials, and natural phenomena — collecting, examining, and recomposing what she finds. Stones, water, architecture, skin, and light become starting points for works that reveal hidden worlds within the familiar.

muller understands material as something living. Her works do not simply represent places or objects, but transform observations into atmospheric spaces where boundaries between body and landscape, inside and outside, micro and macro begin to dissolve. Through this process, her works become visual stories about how we relate to the world and how the world, in turn, shapes us.
